Two people charged in connection to conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery appeared before a Reno County judge Wednesday.

Kylie Hartman and Jason Casanova, of Hutchinson, are being held on charges relating to a crime that occurred June 2 or 3. Both remain behind bars on $100,000 to $150,000 bond.

A third Hutchinson defendant, Matthew Barnes, is awaiting formal charges in a Butler county jail. His bond is $500,000. The judge scheduled his first appearance for Thursday morning.

Prosecutors said today they believe the suspects may be involved in another crime. Officials would not speculate whether the defendants could be connected to Jenny Heckel's unsolved murder.

She was found shot to death inside her Hutchinson home June 14. No arrests have been made.
