WICHITA, Kan.--- The national retail chain opened its first store in Wichita at the Waterfront at 13th and Webb Road.
More than one hundred people witnessed the opening ceremony outside the store before doors opened.
Festivities included a unique bread breaking ceremony with the community and $1,000 donations to five area non-profit organizations, including YMCA Cooking Matters for Adults, The United Methodist Open Door, Wichita Children's Home, Wichita Clean Streams, and Kansas Food Bank Food 4 Kids.
"Local is huge for us and we are always supporting and promoting local vendors. We're opening with about 25 local vendors, here in the store, and we're always looking for more. You'll expect to see more local products in all departments as well," said David Bisek, marketing and community relations manager.
The store employs 120 people with more than 100 of whom are from Wichita.
It is located at 1423 N. Webb Rd. and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
