Moving Forward Wichita hosted a rally today in support of a 'Yes' vote on the guest tax for the Ambassador Hotel project.

The group provided a lunch for about 200 workers who say they have jobs because of the project. A 'Yes' vote next week would give hotel developers 75% of the hotel tax paid only by guests staying at the hotel.

One of the hotel developers took issue with current advertisements against the tax, which are calling it unfair and a bad precedent for the city.

Paul Coury, of Coury Properties, says "Three other hotels have utilized this very same procedure and actually it's been done for 20 years in Wichita."

The vote takes place next Tuesday, February 28.
