An early morning fire causes damage to nearly ten units at a storage facility in Augusta.
The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. at the Space Station Storage facility, at 1100 Ohio St.
"This was difficult because the storage units are locked," said Tyler Brewer, Augusta Public Safety Director. "We had to spend time getting them unlocked so that we could vent and also get in and fight the fire."
Firefighters were able to contain the fire within 45 minutes but eight to ten units were affected in the fire.
"Devastated to see something like that. I mean this is our first fire. We've never had anything like that before," said Torry Miller, victim.
"All those pictures, photo albums that I did when she was a child, you just can't get those back," said Michael Fillmore, victim. "Those are the most important things."
The fire is still under investigation. The cause and amount of damage has not been released at this time.
