Pest controllers have been busy this season with calls to take down spiders webs.

"This has been one of the worst years for spiders up along the eaves and the soffits, just all over the house, and all over the ground," said Flint Hills, owner of Brown Reclusinator Pest Control.

Hills says weather may be to blame for the increase in spiders and bugs.

"There's been a lot of rain this year and the rain's brought in the bugs," said Hills. "Spiders are opportunists, so they come and camp out next to the house and wait for the bugs to come in."

Hills recommends people knock down the webs with dusters and then spray web removing liquids to make the surface slippery to prevent spiders from creating webs.

He said most of the spiders are not venomous but can be a nuisance.
