An amnesty program will be available for traffic violators wanting to clear outstanding warrants.

The Sedgwick county sheriff's department, along with the 18th Judicial District court, will be offering the program next week.

The program will waive court costs, warrant fees, and possibly arrests if people voluntarily pay their traffic fine. A payment plan option will be available for people unable to pay their fees in full.

Violators charged with no proof of insurance must provide proper documentation that the vehicle was covered during the infraction.

A judge will be available to discuss specific cases. The program is available for 18th District traffic warrants only.

The amnesty days will be held Sept. 29-30 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Oct. 1 from 8 a.m. until Noon, on the fifth floor of the Sedgwick County courthouse.
