A Wichita woman faces criminal charges for allegedly calling a series of bomb threats to a local school.

The 27-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Sedgwick County jail records show Shanna Loman was arrested on charges of criminal threat and aggravated criminal threat. She is being held on $100,000 bond.

Police reports indicate the woman is accused of making nine telephoned threats to Payne Elementary, 1601 S. Edwards, since November, 2009. No explosives were ever found.

A USD 259 school spokesperson said Loman was in the school office when she was arrested yesterday. The spokesperson did not know the motive for the threats.
