The man dubbed the "Courteous Crook" apparently has struck again.
Police have been looking for the man who held up an "In The Bag" Cleaners Monday. The man said "Thank you" and "Have a nice day" after robbing the business. Wednesday afternoon, investigators released photos of the suspect, seen below. Anybody with information is urged to call 911.
Police also believe the same man may have robbed the "After Dark Video" and "Wonder Thrift Bakery" on S. Broadway, as well as "The Book Nook" on E. Kellogg in the span of 12 hours Tuesday.
Book Nook owner Lois Hinds said she thought the suspect was joking when he politely asked for her money.
"He said 'Open your cash register, please,'" Hinds told KAKE News Wednesday. Hinds refused, and the man left without any money.
But in at least two other instances, he was able to make off with cash -- stealing a total of $260.
Police said the suspect is a white man in his twenties with dark hair. He may have changed shirts between crimes, but wore a brown or black leather jacket. He was seen leaving the scene in a dark colored car with a loud exhaust.
Authorities say he showed a gun to at least one victim, and told others he had a weapon on him. Nobody was injured in any of the robberies.
