A 19-year-old Arkansas City man is being charged with child sex crimes in the case of a teenage girl.
The Arkansas City Police Department stated in a news release that Zack Charles Peters was arrested for having sex with a 14-year-old girl in the city.
Police stated Peters confessed to having sexual intercourse with the teenager. He was arrested and is in a Cowley County jail on a $7,500 bond.
Police also said the mother knew about the sexual activity and allowed it to happen. She faces a charge of contributing to child's misconduct.
