We're focusing on some who are finding new ways to earn a little bit of extra money, selling high-tech items.

Believe it or not, those electronic gadgets you've bought or received as gifts can also be sold and not just on E-bay. Perhaps you want to trade up or you have two of something.

But don't expect to get rich. Even a pristine 20 gigabyte fourth generation i-Pod with all the accessories would only fetch $38 or about 13 percent of it's original $299 price tag.

Here are some of the sites where you can check out selling your used gear.

BuyMyTronics dot com. This site buys apple i-Pods and i-Phones, Microsoft Zunes, select models of cell phones, PDA's and game consoles.

Gazelle. The site buys MP3 players, digital cameras, laptops, GPS units, camcorders and more.

MyBoneYard. The site buys most brands of MP3 players, laptop and desk computers, flat screen monitors and cell phones. The site pays with a visa gift card.

NextWorth. This site buys only i-Pods.

Venjuvo. The site buys most game consoles, MP3 players, digital cameras and camcorders, GPS units, smartphones, laptops and HD-TV's.

Some sites pay by check, but will also make a charitable tax deductible donation for you.
