With just five weeks to go before the November election, the race for the fourth district congressional seat is heating up even more.
The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce sponsored a debate between Democrat Raj Goyle and Republican Mike Pompeo. The biggest point of contention between the two was how to create jobs in Kansas.
The two candidates have been battling back and forth in their ads about jobs. Goyle saying he will work through Congress to create jobs in Kansas.
Pompeo said it's not his job as a congressman to create jobs, but to create the environment for businesses to bring jobs to the area.
Goyle calls himself a fiscal conservative, voting across party lines in the Kansas House for the last four years. Pompeo has been running two small companies. He has been there and knows what it takes to cut taxes and big government.
