Colby Police Investigate Cemetery Vandalism

In the early morning hours Tuesday, police say the Beulah Cemetery in Colby was vandalized.

One hundred sixty-eight headstones were toppled. Some of the headstones suffered damage while others only needed to be reset.

Damages are estimated at $25,000 but could climb as high as $100,000.

Those with family buried at the Beulah Cemetery is being asked to contact their insurance company.

Anyone with information about the crime is being asked to call the Colby Police Department at (785) 460-4460.
