The two men were arrested and booked last night on accusations involving a series of local robberies involving a weapon.
Police say the men are responsible for nine robberies over the past week.
Beginning last Wednesday, police say the men robbed the Donut Hole on East Douglas, followed by a Taco Tico location, a Family Video Store, a Johnson's General Store, QuikTrip, a wireless store, Walgreen's and a Phillips 66 over the next several days.
"Last night when the suspect walked in, he made the statement basically that said, 'Ma'am, I'm sorry I have to do this again.' This tipped the clerk this was the same individual that robbed the Donut Hole the first time," Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte said.
The two men, aged 47 and 38, were caught after police spotted their pickup Monday night. Both remain in jail awaiting a first appearance in court and official charges, which are expected later this week.
