A day before the Wichita State University men's basketball team leaves for the Final Four, they participated in Media Day.

"Everybody wants access to these players. There are great stories all the way around," said Brett Damaskos with WSU media relations.

The players shared stories about teamwork, perseverance, and hard work with the national and local media inside Charles Koch Arena today.

"You dream of having something like this but you never really can speak about it until it happens. It's a blessing," said Malcolm Armstead.

Reporters and photojournalists from ESPN to Mulvane High School got interviews with the coach and players.

"Kinda neat to come out here and see everyone doing what I eventually want to do with my life 'cause that's kinda the path I want to take," said Tyler Rickstrew, Mulvane High School student. "Kinda cool seeing it in action."

The team continued with practice after the media interviews. They are leaving for Atlanta tomorrow around 5 p.m.
