Trial has begun against a former Park City woman accused of killing a man with a lethal dose of insulin 10 years ago. Sharon Huddleston is accused of killing Todd Stover in May, 2000.
During opening statements, prosecutors alleged that Huddleston and her sister, Rhonda Pischel, took part in the murder and that Huddleston's longtime girlfriend called authorities in July, 2010, because of a guilty conscience and her failing health.
The prosecution is expected to bring forth evidence showing that Huddleston was mad at Stover because he didn't get her a job at Boeing, as he said he might be able to do.
Early witnesses have included Park City Police Detective Dwight Wilkes, who received the phone call from Carthage, MO, police after Huddleston's girlfriend called them. KBI Agent Jack Newsum is currently testifying about his initial investigation upon finding Stover's body along Highway 54/400 near Severy in Greenwood County.
