A 16-year-old boy is rushed to a local hospital after a stabbing in southeast Wichita.
The incident began with a fight that happened about 4 p.m. in a back parking lot area along a fence and a ditch behind an apartment complex in the 4800 block of East Lincoln near Oliver. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the back and arm. A witness called 911.
The teenager was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.
Police said an 18-year-old male suspect is in custody. They are still trying to determine the cause of the fight by interviewing three witnesses to the altercation, Lt. Sam Hanley, of the Wichita Police Department said.
