A thief stole lottery tickets from a Wichita convenience store Sunday, cashed them at the same place, and it was all caught on camera.
The man in the video is a familiar face at the Valero convenience store near Central and Ridge.
"[He comes in] all the time. Three or four times a day,” store manager Kari Cook said.
That's why when he came in several times Sunday night to cash in lottery tickets, no one thought anything of it.
The next day though, the Kansas Lottery Security Commission called about some unusual and possibly fraudulent activity.
"That very evening between 6:20 and 6:57, there were 297 lottery tickets validated all from the same roll, all from the same package,” Cook said.
The man stole over $700 worth of lottery tickets and was able to get $241 by cashing out some of those tickets from the store.
The store turned over the security video to police. No arrests have been made.
