The price you pay at the pump will be a little higher today.

Gas prices climbed at many Wichita stations overnight. Most stations are selling gasoline at $3.45 a gallon, a ten cent increase.

The increase comes at a time when gas prices are declining nationally.

QuikTrip's spokesperson, Mike Thornbrugh, said a deferred maintenance at a regional refinery may be to blame for prices going up.

"They've been running these units so hard so long that you sometimes have to slow it down and shut them down to make sure everything is running correctly," said Thornbrugh. "Especially when this is the time of the year when you shift over into the summer blends, so that's really what's been going on in the mid continent."

The Energy Department said the national average was $3.53, down three cents from the previous week.
