According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, battery packs are being recalled because they can spontaneously explode.
They are the Rayovac NI-CD and NI-MH Cordless Tool Battery Packs.
About 65,000 of them were sold between June 2008 and July 2012 for between $60-$70.
If you have one of these battery packs, stop using it immediately and contact the company for information on how to return the product for store credit.
