Organizers of the Wichita River Festival announce changes to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the event.
The biggest change this year is the date of the River Festival. Instead of holding the event in May, it will be held June 3-11.
Other changes include focusing new venues for the events along the river, near Exploration Place and Waterwalk.
There will be a floating stage for music concerts, a zip line on the river, fireworks on the first night, not the last and more children's activities.
One thing that won't change is the cost. A button will still run you $5.00.
