The schoolhouse originally housed Belleview district and was established in 1879. It was used as a school until 1956 before it became a polling location for Caldwell Township until 1998. Today, the old building was loaded on a trailer and moved to a new location where it will eventually be restored to its original glory.

Mike and Valerie Brunhoeber originally purchased the building for extra storage space. After a closer look, they decided to instead fix it up and give tours.

Once the building is restored, the Brunhoebers will invite area schools to visit and see what it was like to go to school in the 1800s.
