A Wichita man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle early this morning in eastern Sedgwick County.
The incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. at the intersection of Kellogg and 143rd St. E.
Authorities have identified the victm as 37-year-old Grant Biddle.
Investigators at the scene say an SUV driver was heading west on Kellogg, when he struck Biddle. The driver told apparently told authorities he did not have enough time to stop and the area was dark.The driver then tried to search for the victim, but was unable to find him. That's when he called 911.
Emergency crews opened up the intersection at about 7:30 a.m., but there there may still be backups. Drivers who use this route may want to get to give themselves some extra time to get to work or school this morning.
