With the economy in a tailspin and layoffs everywhere, families are searching for ways to save money. An organization called “Just Between Friends” is trying to help.
The organization was started by two moms several years ago in Oklahoma and has since spread to 17 states.
Just Between Friends is holding a regional consignment sale of children’s clothing. The event offers bargains and an opportunity for the participants to make a little money.
Beginning tomorrow at the Sedgwick County Extension Center at 21st and Ridge Road, thousands of children’s clothing items will be available for purchase at bargain prices.
“It’s a great place to purchase items or your family at a fraction of retail,” said Dawn Pfannesteil, owner of Just Between Friends.
The organization puts together three sales per year.
With families losing paychecks because of layoffs, sales like these are a blessing to many.
Just Between Friends also donates hundreds of items to the Klothes Kloset in Wichita, which provides clothing to move than 135 families per day.
The sale begins Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. For more information, visit www.jbfsale.com.
