There are now less than two days to pick up those Christmas presents and local stores are full of last minute holiday shoppers getting great last minute deals.
From the parking lots to the checkout lines, stores are packed with people crossing those last gifts off their lists. Or, like Gardell Stucky, they're just getting started.
"So have my wife and daughters to look for and he's giving me some ideas of what he wants," said Stucky.
He's one of millions of procrastinators nationwide. According to the National Retail Federation, 20% of Christmas shoppers haven't purchased any presents yet. And that's one reason why for stores like Best Buy these last few days are very good for business.
"We're getting extremely busy with all the bad weather we had last week. It kinda delayed some shoppers so they're all coming right now and really filling up the store," said Best Buy Manager Chris Hajek.
But putting off shopping until the last minute can save some big bucks. There are now deep discounts in many stores including 50% off some DVD's and specials on GPS systems, TV's and laptops.
And for those who get stuck trying to find the perfect present,"then the last resort thing is the gift card," said Stuckey.
And between people redeeming those gift cards and post holiday sales,"we're staffed very well for the next few days leading right after Christmas," said Hajek.
