Winfield Fire Investigators are calling the fires that destroyed three mobiles homes suspicious.

Firefighters were called to the 20-thousand block of 151st Road east of Winfield for a report of three mobile homes on fire.

When they arrived, crews found two of the abandoned structures had already burned to the ground. The third was fully involved. Firefighters decided to let it burn, and just extinguished small grass fires surrounding the home.

The homes were vacant and had no utilities running to them.

Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
