The Reno County Sheriff's Office is discouraging any travel unless absolutely necessary.
This morning, a turned over semi was reported on US-50, east of Hutchinson. No one was reported hurt from this accident.
Sheriff Randy Henderson said they have a lot of vehicles sliding off of the roads and owners are trying to pull them out. Henderson and other law enforcement officers are recommending that drivers wait to pull these vehicles out until there are clear conditions on the road.
"It would be best to stay home where they're warm, where they have food. They get out here, they may become stranded, especially if they're on a rural road where there's not any traffic at all," said Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Gary Warner.
