When Kansans head to the polls this year, they will face some new voter ID rules. To make sure things run smoothly, Secretary of State Kris Kobach is touring the state to educate voters about the new law the Legislature passed in 2011.

In Wichita today, Kobach said his most important objective is making sure Kansas voters have all the information they need and know which kids of photo ID are acceptable.

"For most people it's gonna be a drivers license, and indeed most people drive to the polls anyway, so they're probably going to have it with them. But we just want to be extra sure that people have all the information they need, and that's part of what this public information campaign is all about," says Kobach.

Kobach says at last check only about 30 Kansans of voting age did not have some kind of qualifying photo ID.
