A Wichita family getting a Christmas after thieves break into the home, stealing all the children's gifts along with the Christmas tree.
"It makes me feel good that people would be willing to help. I've never really had to ask for help before, said Arletta Kinder, who says thieves broke a window into her home on Tuesday. "This is awesome there are actually people out there that will go to this extreme as to take time out of their day."
Dozens of people stopping by the KAKE station and the Kinder home to provide gifts for 4-year-old Kaylee and 6-year-old Mikel. Kinder's a single mother who is currently out of work and said buying new presents wasn't possible.
"Looked at all the presents under our tree and didn't want the kids to go without any. It's just kind of sad that any kid would have to go out with Christmas with no gifts," said Jessica Bentley, who gave presents for Kinder and her kids.
Kinder's family received dozens of toys, clothes, and two brand new bikes. She plans to give some of the gifts to others in need.
