Apple announced the arrival of the news iPhone 5 this week. So what do you do with the old and tired iPhone 4?

Good Question.

The new iPhone is here. It is bigger, lighter and smarter that the iPhone 4. For those who love the Apple smartphones, it’s a must have, which means the future is uncertain for millions of older generation iPhones.

If you have and old iPhone, you do have some options. My favorites are paperweight, doorstop and coaster.

But the best option may be to sell your old iPhone. There are several websites that not only buy your iPhones; they offer a pretty good chunk of change for the device.

Nextworth.com makes it pretty easy. A few clicks and you receive an offer. I have and iPhone 4S. It’s in excellent condition. Nextworth.com offered me $273. Considering I got the phone for $199, thanks to an upgrade, I’m making money.

Gazelle.com is another site that buys old phones. It offered $274 for my old, tired iPhone 4S.

Of course, another option is to just keep your old iPhone. With upgrades, it can be almost as good as the iPhone 5. And if you are not eligible for an upgrade just yet, wait for the iPhone 6.
