A man was tied up during a robbery at his southwest Wichita apartment early Thursday morning.
Around midnight, a 61-year-old was home at his apartment in the 2500 block of West 31st Street South when someone knocked on his door.
The man at the door said, in Vietnamese, that someone had broken into his car. When he answered the door, the other man forced his way inside.
The suspect was armed with a large knife, and tied the elderly man up with zip ties. He then took cash and credit cards from the apartment, and left.
The victim, bound at the wrists and ankles, was able to get close to the door and cried for help. He yelled for nearly two hours, before a passerby came to his aid. The victim had a small cut to his neck but was not injured.
Police are looking for an Asian male, between the ages of 30 and 40, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a black mask.
