Investigators have determined an early morning fire was set intentionally.
Emergency crews arrived on scene at about 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 Blk. of 57th St. N. They found smoke and flames pouring out of the roof of the home. Within minutes, crews announced they were going defensive, meaning they fought the fire from the outside.
Crews say the roof collapsed at one point and power lines in the backyard were problematic.
The house was a rental home and unoccupied. Damage to the house is listed at $65,000, and $2,000 to the contents. No suspect has been arrested.
