Charges Come Today Against Shooting & Standoff Suspects

Charges could be filed today against four suspects involved in a shooting and standoff with Wichita Police Tuesday night.

At about 8 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near 24th and Mascot. After the shots were fired, the four suspects fled to a house in the 2400 Blk. of N. Jeanette.

Two suspects were quickly arrested outside the home, but two others entered the residence and refused to come out.

The standoff ended peacefully four hours later after a K-9 unit entered the house and scared the suspects.

Police the say the incident appears to be gang related.
