A Cessna official confirms a Skycatcher crash landed in northern Butler County.

The plane went down at about 10 a.m. near NE 110th & Bluestem, north of El Dorado Lake.

A KAKE News photographer on the scene said the plane is upside down.

Investigators say they don't know why the single engine Cessna made the emergency landing. Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy says the plane hit a fence as it tried to land, causing the plane to land upside down.

There are no reports of injuries or fire. The number of passengers on board has not been confirmed.

Butler County dispatchers tell KAKE News authorities are protecting the scene for Cessna.

The last incident involving a Cessna Skycatcher in Butler County happened in September when the plane parachuted to the ground.
