Drivers may need to be prepared for traffic jams on 21st Street. Construction is set to begin on a new traffic light later this month.
Sedgwick County says the city will begin building the new stoplight at the intersection of 21st Street and North Shore, the road that runs through Sedgwick County Park, on March 23rd.
The road will be reconditioned for 300 feet in each direction. Traffic flow will be reduced to one lane each way for the duration of the project.
The project is expected to last about two months, weather permitting.
