Wichita road crews work around the clock to clear city streets.
Sixty trucks began working at midnight Monday morning applying salt and sand to the main streets in Wichita. Crews will each work 12 hour shifts to keep the roads are cleared.
City leaders say pre-treating the streets last week has helped so the ice and snow doesn't stick to the roadways.
An additional 20 workers are assigned to Wichita's core area to make sure those streets are cleared.
The city says it does not have enough people to plow the side streets of Wichita.
