Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge Votes (as of March 5th)
WICHITA, Kan.--- Update:
Wichita State University Coach Gregg Marshall won $15,000 for the Wichita Children's Home.
Marshall was in the Final Four of the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge. The online voting competition lasted from January 6th to March 16th.
The coach with the most votes won $100,000 for their charity of choice. The winner, Thad Matta of Ohio State University, chose Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.
Wichita State University Coach Gregg Marshall is in the Final Four in the "Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge."
He is competing to win $100,000 for the Wichita Children's Home.
"They have been very generous to us," said Sarah Robinson, CEO of the Wichita Children's Home. She recalls that the Marshall family has been helping them for years.
Currently, Marshall is one of four men left in the final round of the Charity Challenge. The winner will get $100,000 for their favorite charity.
"He really wants to win 'cause he's not a loser and he also knows how important those financial dollars would be to these kids," said Debbie Kennedy, WSU Alumni Association executive director and Wichita Children's Home Board of Trustees president.
For ten weeks, the nation's top coaches have been counting on their fans to vote for their favorite charity.
Coach Marshall is asking people to "vote angry" every day until March 16th.
