Security video helps Wellington police identify two teens they say are connected to five burglaries in downtown Wellington in the last month.
The Wellington Recreation center has been broken into three times since the beginning of August. Early Sunday morning, security cameras caught two young men on camera snooping around outside.
Within hours of getting their hands on that video Monday afternoon, police say they identified the two as two Wellington teenagers under the age of 16.
The police chief says they have discovered enough evidence to link the two to five burglaries within the last month. That number includes two break-ins at the Wellington Rec Center, two at the Assembly of God Church, and one at Case's Country Café that happened just over Labor Day weekend.
Police say they will be presenting cases for both teenage suspects to the Sumner County Attorney's office.
