A Wichita mother delivered her baby in the parking lot of Wesley Medical Center on Sunday morning.
"This time I didn't have an epidural. I didn't make it in time, so we just had him in the parking lot," said Tamera Cruz, mother.
The couple and their family rushed to the hospital after Tamera's water broke around 2:30 a.m.
"Her dad went to get the wheelchair," said Andrew Villa, father. "As soon as he came back, he saw her laying on the ground and I had my hands on his head."
Isaiah Villa was born around 2:50 a.m., weighing 6 pounds 5 ounces.
"I was happy that he was coming to be with us. I didn't expect it to be outside though," said Cruz.
Mother and baby are doing well. Both are expected to be released from the hospital on Tuesday.
