One person is hospitalized at a Wichita hospital after a tractor trailer collision in Stafford County.
John D. Kruckenberg, 36, of Claflin, was traveling westbound in a 2010 Pontiac G6 on U-50, when for an unknown reason he went left of center striking the left front end of an eastbound semi, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at about 4:15 a.m. Monday on U-50 at milemarker 193, about 2 miles south of St. John just east of the U-50 and U-281 junction.
The driver of the semi, Ismael Gomez-Alcala,40, of Dodge City, was not injured. His passenger, Citoaly Gomez, 6, also of Dodge City, was also uninjured, the KHP said.

One person has been flown to a Wichita hospital after a tractor trailer collision in Stafford County.
It happened near U.S. highways 281 and 50 about 4:15 a.m. Monday.
Our news partners at the St. John's news report a semi truck traveling west on highway 50 hit an eastbound car head-on.
Investigators said the car crossed the center line, colliding with a trailer hauling dairy.
The driver was flown to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. The truck driver was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation. No names are being released at this time.
