The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition show may be over for the Hall family, but for Carl, the road to recovery is not.
Following a car accident last June, Carl was left paralyzed. Doctors gave him about a 10% chance to move anything below his neck again.
Several months ago, Carl proved those doctors wrong.
"The movement went from my wrist to my bicep, and then forearm movement and stuff like that," said Hall.
Carl can now move his right arm as high as his head. In the last month, movement in his left arm has come back as well.
Thanks to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Carl can now do most therapy sessions right inside his home.
"If they can have a set-up in their home, where they can continue the work at home, at that level of intensity, the outcomes are greatly increased and he will see faster recovery as well," said Heather Berry, Wesley Rehabilitation Hospital.
Carl said the therapy and work will help him move closer to his dream.
"I have a goal to eventually get up out of the chair at some point. It's a lofty goal, and it's something that the odds are against me on that, but you have to shoot for that. Whatever happens between that is a bonus."
