A fire at a Riverside home caused $450,000 damage.
The fire started shortly before midnight in the 1200 block of N. River Boulevard. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the historic 101-year-old home.
The fire had been burning for some time before crews arrived, causing the back of the house to collapse.
Investigators said the fire started on the back porch. The porch was being stained and some materials caught fire. The residents made it out of the home safely.
