The Beeline Express will operate two new bus lines that will service I-135 in Central Kansas and US-50 in Southwest Kansas for 20 cents a mile.
The Kansas Department of Transportation gave Prestige Bus the rights to operate the lines in areas that had no service to Wichita.
"A lot of what we're looking at is connectivity for folks to be able to travel both regionally within Kansas but then also finding connections to go further out," said Joel Skelley with the Kansas Department of Transportation.
There will be two daily round-trips between Salina and Wichita, departing at 1 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Wichita to Pueblo, Colorado bus will depart Wichita daily at 6:15 a.m. All buses will depart from the Greyhound Wichita location at 312 S. Broadway.
For its debut week, the Beeline Express is offering $1 fares, Nov. 9-15.
