There’s a big football game this weekend, pitting two bitter rivals against each other.
No, it’s not KU against K-State. This is a military matchup, featuring the grind game of the Army and the aerial attack of the Air Force.
McConnell airmen are preparing for their biggest game of the season – a showdown against Ft. Riley on Saturday.
"I love the game, I still love to play. I love it," McConnell AFB Sr. Airman Cody Noble said.
And Noble would love to beat Ft. Riley, because in last year’s first meeting between the two bases in Wichita, Ft. Riley came out a 21-13 winner.
"They got the better of us last year, so we will try to make amends for that for sure," McConnell AFB Staff Sgt. Daniel Mills said.
The game kicks off at 11:00 at Ft. Riley.
