Wichita Police arrested a juvenile with homemade explosives on Sunday afternoon.
Bel Aire Police were looking for a burglary suspect in the 6900 block of E. 40th. Police found the 13-year-old boy they were looking for and found homemade explosives, considered to be dangerous, inside the residence.
Wichita Police and Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit were called to assist. They found a modified smoke bomb, grenades, and several repackaged fireworks.
The boy was taken into custody for unlawful possession of homemade explosives.
