A house fire that broke out early this morning in southeast Sedgwick County could have been caused by arson.
It happened at about 4:30 a.m. in the 4000 Blk. of S. 135th St. E. When fire crews arrived, they said the found smoke and flames pouring out of a house. The fire was out about an hour later.
Fire crews did not find anyone home, but a dog was in the backyard. The dog was OK.
Investigators said the house suffered heavy damage in the fire. They said the blaze is a suspicious in nature.
