One of the growing needs in the aircraft industry is for more pilots. The pilot ranks have dwindled for years.
That has wide ranging implications for the industry. In 1980, there were 830,000 pilots. Last year, there were 590,000 pilots.
The non-profit agency "Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association" is trying to entice people to become pilots with lower price introductory flights.
During the cold war most airline pilots came out of the military. That's no longer true. Now they come out of civilian flight school environment.
So the pilots that go out and try Let's Go Flying and continue on and get their certificates that's the pool the airlines are going to be hiring from," said Chris Dancy of Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.
