One of the medical missionary aids ambushed in Afghanistan last week is remembered by a North Newton mission.

Mennonite Central Committee director John Stoesz worked with Glen Lapp during Hurricane Katrina. Lapp was traveling with a medical team
In northern Afghanistan when his group was attacked and killed. Stoesz says Lapp was very good at his job and was always friendly.

"It's sad, but there's also a message of hope there, because Glen's work there was love in action and that's what Mennonite Community is all about," Stoesz said.

Mennonite Central Committee says despite the tragedy, it will not be pulling out of Afghanistan. It will continue it's mission.
