Police say a woman found dead in front of an apartment on Thursday is not a suspicious death.

A homeowner found a woman unconscious in front of his apartment on Thursday around 3:20 p.m. The homeowner called emergency crews.

Firefighters and EMS found the woman in her 40s had died for unknown reasons.

Police say there was nothing suspicious about the woman's death. The woman had previous medical conditions and was recently discharged from the hospital.

They have not ruled our heat as a factor on her death.

Police are investigating the death of a woman found near an apartment building in west Wichita.

Emergency crews were called to apartments in the 500 block of north Anna Street Thursday afternoon, to check on a woman who was found unconscious outside an apartment building.

Firefighters and EMS found the woman in her 40s had died for unknown reasons.

Police investigators were on scene trying to determine how she died, but don’t suspect foul play. They said they couldn’t speculate what caused the death.
