Coach Gregg Marshall tells KAKE News it would take an "unbelievable offer" for him to leave Wichita State.

In a live interview with Susan Peters, she asked Coach Marshall if he planned on staying with Wichita State University.

There has been speculation and rumor that Marshall is on the short list of several coaching jobs around the country, including the openings at North Carolina State and Missouri.

A small gathering of fans greeted the Shocker basketball team as they arrived at Yingling Aircraft in West Wichita Friday. The crowd applauded as the entire team stepped out of them chartered Boeing 737.

"It was a great game and a great season and we're proud of them," said Stephanie Tajchman. "We've been watching them all along and it's been fun."

Coach Gregg Marshall's first thoughts as he stepped off the plane were about how fun the season has been.

"It's been a great ride. I want to thank the seniors and players for taking us on such a great run," he said. "I hope you guys in Wichita had as much fun as we did in New York."

After loading their luggage on two chartered buses, the team headed for Charles Koch Arena for a community welcome home ceremony.

About 5,000 fans filled the Roundhouse to celebrate WSU basketball's first national championship win. Mayor Carl Brewer, Athletic Director Eric Sexton, Coach Marshall and the 5 seniors all spoke to the crowd.
