Residents in Valley Center say the three new signs recently installed have too much information on them and are therefore hard to read.
One sign greets motorists entering Valley Center's south side on Meridian. It tells the location of city offices, the Chamber of Commerce, the library, the school offices and more.
The city of Valley Center acknowledges that the signs, which cost $25,000, are not accomplishing their intended purpose.
The Chamber of Commerce says the Wichita-based company that made the signs is no longer in business and therefore cannot make the necessary changes.
